Connor Storrie, Kit Harington, Jane Fonda, Robert Englund, and music icon Eddie Cochran are among the notable names featured in the 34th Raindance Film Festival's 2026 program, set to take place in London. These figures will appear either as stars, behind-the-scenes talents, or as subjects of the films.
At the press conference introducing the program, festival organizers commented on the current state of the world. “In an increasingly divisive and polarized world, the power of storytelling has never been more critical,” they stated. Raindance emphasized its privilege of being a platform for new voices to contribute to cinema. “Some films cannot wait,” they remarked, highlighting urgent topics that need to be shared, such as Ukraine, artificial intelligence, fracking, deforestation, refugees, and bride slavery.
The festival will showcase 85 feature-length narrative and documentary films from June 17-26. Among these films, 48 are by first-time directors. Additionally, 27 projects will be exhibited as part of the 11th Raindance Immersive event. Raindance founder Elliot Grove said, “Some films cannot wait, and as Raindance, we are eager to share this year's must-see independent films.” He invited cinema enthusiasts to join the celebration of independent cinema in the heart of London.
