Although it was canceled after its first season, The Bondsman has proven that Prime Video is willing to go beyond soldier and police action series.

Similarly, House of David tells the story of young David's rise from shepherd to king, based on Old Testament tales, as both a historical epic and a faith adaptation. David, played by Michael Iskander, learns to be a warrior and a king, while the series continues to enhance its action elements with large-scale battle scenes reflecting Bronze Age warfare. The production, which has already aired two seasons on Prime Video, is expected to return with more content.

Created by Derek Haas, Countdown was an effort to merge the worlds of network television and streaming platforms through a series that follows a special task force in Los Angeles as they prevent future terrorist attacks. Starring Jensen Ackles, Jessica Camacho, and the late Eric Dane, the series managed to blend high-stakes action and tension with intense character drama and complex interpersonal relationships. Unfortunately, Countdown was canceled before reaching its second season, serving as a reminder that Prime Video can't keep every show; however, it is clear that the platform is determined to bring more fast-paced action.
