Anthony Maras's new film "Pressure" uncovers a little-known story from World War II. The film examines the impact of critical weather forecasts on the success or failure leading up to D-Day, featuring Andrew Scott's award-worthy performance in the lead role and impressive supporting roles by Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, and Chris Messina. As the title suggests, the film keeps the audience glued to the screen with its ever-increasing tension.

The film focuses on the 72 hours before D-Day, beginning with the arrival of Scottish meteorologist Dr. James Stagg (Scott) at Allied Headquarters. While Stagg takes pride in his work, he is not particularly happy to be there due to his pregnant wife Liz (Tamsin Topolski) being in labor. Additionally, he is dissatisfied with the direction of the operation led by American meteorologist Irving Krick (Messina), who has previously worked successfully with General Eisenhower (Fraser) on numerous military operations.

"Pressure" is based on David Haig's critically acclaimed play and effectively reflects the human drama behind the war. The film shows audiences not only the weight of war but also the heavy burdens of personal concerns and responsibilities. Maras skillfully escalates the tension, managing to quicken the audience's heartbeats. This film stands out as a must-see for both history enthusiasts and thriller lovers.
