Oprah Winfrey will be moving her podcast, book club, and other content to Amazon's podcast platform Wondery. According to the agreement announced on Monday, The Oprah Podcast will air two episodes per week starting this summer, and Wondery will acquire the audio and video distribution and advertising rights for the show. The deal also includes the rights to The Oprah Winfrey Show archives, as well as Oprah's Book Club and Oprah's Favorite Things.

Starting in July, Wondery will distribute The Oprah Podcast through Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Fire TV Channels, and Audible. The program will also continue to be available on YouTube and other podcast platforms. This move will allow Winfrey to expand her global audience while also strengthening Amazon's content portfolio.

Winfrey's podcast will be part of Wondery's reorganized structure alongside successful shows like New Heights hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce, Baby, this is Keke Palmer starring Keke Palmer, and Armchair Expert hosted by Dax Shepard. Last August, Amazon restructured the company, moving narrative-focused podcasts to Audible, while the creative leadership team focused on podcast shows established a new unit called Creator Services.

In her statement, Winfrey said, "Presenting this podcast allows me to continue the work I feel called to do – opening the door to important conversations. We are not alone; we are inviting conversations that help us see ourselves and each other more clearly. Expanding our global reach is an opportunity I embrace as we continue to connect through stories."

Steve Boom, Head of Amazon Video, stated, "Oprah Winfrey has built one of the most iconic, timeless brands that extends beyond television and publishing. Through this collaboration with Harpo Entertainment, we are bringing her voice to more people and expanding the ways Oprah engages with her audiences." Creator Services General Manager Matt Sandler expressed his excitement about the partnership, noting that Oprah has been connecting directly and deeply with audiences for generations, long before the term "creative" emerged.
