Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest 2026: Viewing Information

One of America’s most interesting traditions, the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest, is set to take place again on July 4th. The competition will feature defending champion Joey Chestnut in the men's category and will kick off at 9:00 AM PT/12:00 PM ET on ESPN2. This event can be watched live through any streaming service that carries ESPN2. Platforms like DirecTV (five-day free trial), Fubo (one-day free trial), Sling, and Hulu + Live TV will be offering this contest.
In the women's category, defending champion Miki Sudo will be featured during the men's competition on ESPN2. Viewers can follow the contest via the ESPN App at 7:45 AM PT/10:45 AM ET. ESPN Unlimited subscribers will have access to Chestnut's isolated camera feeds starting at 9:30 AM PT/12:30 PM ET. Additionally, the men's competition will also be broadcast on ABC at 12:30 PM ET as part of the Disney Celebrates America special program.
In the 2021 Hot Dog Eating Contest, Chestnut set a record by consuming 76 hot dogs and buns. Aside from the July 4th contest, he also achieved an unofficial record by eating 83 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes during the 2024 Netflix special Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef. This year's contest promises to be an exciting event for viewers.
