One of the best-selling stand-up comedians in the world, Nate Bargatze, has requested that cinema chains implement discounted ticket prices for the upcoming family film "The Breadwinner." The film, a collaboration between TriStar and Sony, is set to be released on May 29 and will be Bargatze's most significant project following his hosting of the Emmy Awards in September.

Written by Bargatze and Dan Lagana and directed by Eric Appel, the film stars Bargatze as a salesman named Nate Wilcox. Mandy Moore plays the character Katie, who is the epitome of the perfect mother. However, Katie's home inventory innovation leads to an incredible deal on Shark Tank, sending her on a long business trip. Nate finds himself struggling to save the house (literally) from falling apart. He and the kids learn that even if Nate can't do things like their mother, he can succeed in his own way.

In a video shared on Instagram, Bargatze announced a special discount program he calls "Nate Rate." While studios do not have the authority to set pricing policies, Bargatze hopes that cinema operators will show "The Breadwinner" at discounted prices, similar to what was done for the film "80 for Brady." According to reports, the country's largest cinema chain, AMC Theatres, is among many chains that have already agreed to apply discounted prices for matinee showings of "The Breadwinner." Cinemark may offer discounts of up to 25% on ticket prices.

In his Instagram video, Bargatze said, "Hello everyone! My film The Breadwinner is coming out on May 29, and I have something very exciting to share with you. Nate Rate is a special low ticket price because we want everyone to come to this movie. This film is made for your grandparents, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, friends, and sisters."

As pricing and availability may vary by location, viewers will need to check their local showtimes. Bargatze's initiative could start a new trend in the cinema industry for reaching a broader audience for family films.
