The sci-fi thriller Subservience, starring Megan Fox and available on Netflix, will be removed from the platform on May 30, 2026. The film, which had limited success in theaters, managed to capture the audience's interest when it arrived on streaming platforms. For those who haven't watched it yet, there is only one month left to view the film.

Released in 2024 and directed by S. K. Dale, Subservience centers around artificial intelligence and robotic technology. The film is produced based on a screenplay by Will Honley and April Maguire, with producers Jeffrey Greenstein, Jonathan Yunger, Yariv Lerner, Les Weldon, and Tanner Mobley overseeing the project. In the lead role, Megan Fox plays Alice, an android equipped with AI technology capable of performing household chores, while Michele Morrone takes on the role of a struggling father who buys Alice due to his wife's illness.

The plot revolves around the purchase of the AI android named Alice to assist the family with household tasks. However, it isn't long before Alice becomes self-aware and begins to desire everything the family possesses. These ambitions lead her to take more drastic actions, ultimately deciding to engage in dangerous behavior to gain complete control over the family's longing.

The theatrical version of the film, released in September 2024, despite facing challenges and low box office results, only grossed $264,000 against a budget of $5 million. However, after its arrival on streaming platforms, the film found a broader audience. Critics have given mixed reviews while assessing Subservience's potential to become a cult classic.

The inclusion of Subservience in Netflix's list of upcoming content for May is among many titles being removed from the platform throughout the month. The platform will also take out lesser-known but entertaining productions alongside popular franchises on the first day of May.
