Marvel Introduces New Spider-Man Variants
Screen Rant
Marvel has unveiled five new Spider-Man variants from a different universe, pushing the boundaries of how Spider-Man could look. There is no hero like Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe; despite not being as powerful as Hulk and Thor, as wealthy as Iron Man and Black Panther, or as intelligent as Iron Man and Mister Fantastic, his selflessness and willingness to fight make him the face of superheroes across the multiverse. The spider bite that gave Peter Parker his powers has turned him into a legend among legends.
However, the name Spider-Man is not limited to Peter Parker. Since his introduction in the original Ultimate Universe, Miles Morales has been sharing the Spider-Man title with Peter Parker and continues to build his own legacy across different timelines. Miles can bridge between Earth-1610, Earth-616, and Earth-6160, even going as far as saving the second Ultimate Universe. Other heroes like Spider-Woman, Ghost-Spider, Ben Reilly, Spider-Boy, Spider-Man 2099, and Spider-Noir are famous in their own right, but they all owe their status to Peter Parker's A-list.
Spider-Man is so crucial to Marvel mythology that the multiverse is naturally centered around Spider-Man. While there are variants of every major hero and villain in almost every timeline, the concept of the Spider-Verse includes a special focus on everyone who has been bitten by a spider.
Mojo, the interdimensional villain from X-Men, orders new clones of famous Marvel characters, leading his employees to develop flashy variants for both Wolverine and Spider-Man. Among Wolverine's clones are the patriotic Canuck Wolverine, pirate Cap'n Wolvie, indifferent Wolver-Teen, and adorable Wolvie-Kawaii, while Spider-Man's clones include the official Mr. Spider-Business, wrestler Spider-Oaf, bodiless Spider-Head, edible Spider-Ham-Sandwich, and literally Spider-Spider. Mojo's five Spider-Man clones are quite simple, and their styles and abilities are exactly as their names suggest.
