Apa's reaction came after the release of the music video for Mr. Fantasy's new song titled "Do Me Right." The video featured many celebrities, including Riverdale stars Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhart, and Madelaine Petsch, along with Dave Franco, Rob Lowe, Nick Jonas, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Zoey Deutch. Apa specifically mentioned that he was disturbed by the fact that this production involved working with his close associates.

In his video message, Apa emphasized with strong language, "If anyone thinks it's completely fine for someone to literally steal their image and tattoos to use for their own success, that is entirely wrong."
