Juno Temple, who gained fame for her role as Keeley Jones in Ted Lasso, will star in Apple TV's new sci-fi dramedy The Husbands. The series, adapted from Holly Gramazio's novel, shows that Temple will portray the character Lauren, who finds a stranger claiming to be her husband in her home. When her husband goes to change a lightbulb to fix things, another husband appears, leading to the start of an endless chain of husbands.

Temple spoke about the long working days starting at 5 AM during the filming of the series. While expressing her excitement about the project, she also mentioned finding the process challenging. The show aims to explore the life of Lauren as she transitions between various universes and different spouses, questioning the place of relationships and the institution of marriage in today's world.

Emphasizing the importance of The Husbands in exploring the impact of female characters and relationships, Temple stated, "I think we can have really interesting conversations about relationships, marriage, and whether we want them in today's world." She highlighted that these topics are current and intriguing, expressing her anticipation for how the series will handle this core theme.

Throughout the series, Temple's character will take on completely different appearances as she enters each spouse's universe. The set design, hair, makeup, and costume departments must work in harmony with the character's changing uniform for each transition. Temple mentioned that she will use eight different wigs in this context and expressed pride in watching how each department will emerge within this complex structure.

The actress noted that all departments of the production shone and came to life during this process, saying, "In each of her husband's universes, the entire universe changes, so the set designer and the entire decoration department alter the walls, lighting, and all the details inside the house. My mind was working hard." She hopes that The Husbands' release on Apple TV will spark new discussions about relationships, although she also expressed some anxiety about it.
