At the Aspen Ideas Festival held in Colorado, Jodie Foster made significant remarks about the future of Hollywood and the impact of artificial intelligence on the film industry. During a session at the festival, Foster met with former Sony executive Michael Lynton to discuss how the pandemic, labor strikes, and audience habits have shaped the film sector. She emphasized that the topic of artificial intelligence is one of the most urgent issues everyone is talking about today.

Sharing her thoughts on the role artificial intelligence could play in the world of cinema, she stated, "If we can consistently make artificial intelligence dominant over time, then yes, we can create content that reflects ourselves and produces better things." However, she also added that there is uncertainty about whether they can control this technology in the long term. In response to Lynton's question about whether artificial intelligence could really change writers or actors, she replied, "We are already doing that."

Using the F1 movie starring Brad Pitt as an example, Foster remarked, "F1 feels as if it was made by artificial intelligence." This film was nominated for four Academy Awards and won an Oscar for Best Sound. Foster noted that the film's structure perfectly aligned with the patterns learned in school and that the characters' lines sounded like the most accurate things written by a computer.

Foster's comments align with explanations about the practical effects and digital techniques used in the production process of the F1 film. In some scenes of the movie, digital effects were used instead of real cars to provide a safer shooting environment. Foster's thoughts on artificial intelligence could spark a new discussion in the film world and offer important insights into how future projects might take shape.
