Jesse Eisenberg is counting down the days to acquire Polish citizenship, expressing that it is becoming increasingly difficult to make the types of films he wants in Hollywood, and he hopes to continue his career in Europe. The famous actor announced this news while receiving an award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival held in the Czech Republic on Saturday. Eisenberg mentioned that he starred in Richard Ayoade's film "The Double" here.

In his acceptance speech, Eisenberg stated that he wants to obtain Polish citizenship due to his family heritage and expressed his desire to spend more time in Europe, particularly in Central Europe. "In America, making quirky mid-budget films is becoming increasingly difficult on a scale of people I love, but in Europe, these types of films are thriving and being celebrated," he said. These remarks highlight his interest and commitment to European cinema.

The Karlovy Vary Film Festival also hosted many other famous names alongside Eisenberg. On the festival's 60th anniversary, stars like Dustin Hoffman and Maggie Gyllenhaal also received awards. Eisenberg's film "The Debut," which he wrote and directed, features stars like Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti, and it is set to be released by A24 this fall.
