Jeff Hiller won the Emmy award for his outstanding performance in the series ‘Somebody Somewhere’ and his guest appearances in ‘Pluribus’ and ‘Elsbeth’. However, Hiller notes that Hollywood's ruthless new calculations have left him on the sidelines: "I haven't worked at all in 2026, and that's terrifying."

About 20 years ago, Jeff Hiller auditioned for the character Kenneth Parcell, played by Jack McBrayer, in the pilot episode of NBC's ‘30 Rock’. At that time, Hiller expressed that he had no hope of landing the role. However, when Tina Fey called him and said, "You really have great timing," it became a significant source of motivation in Hiller's career.

Fey cast Hiller as a hotel clerk in the third season of ‘30 Rock’ and brought him back years later as a completely different character. Hiller states that this experience was a major turning point in his career and motivated him greatly.

Before landing his first regular role in HBO's independent comedy ‘Somebody Somewhere’, Hiller experienced many slow periods in his career. This series culminated in Hiller winning the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor last year with a natural and emotional three-season performance. Hiller says, “This has always been a dream.” Now, Hiller is expected to turn a new page in his career.
