Despite the challenges he has faced in recent years, Henry Cavill has achieved significant success on streaming platforms. Although plans to reprise his role as Superman fell through, his departure from The Witcher and the underperformance of his recent films did not cause him to lose the interest of his fans. On the contrary, projects featuring Cavill have become preferred choices for viewers at home. This has led to three of Cavill's films appearing on streaming and PVOD platforms simultaneously. The first of these films, In the Grey, topped Amazon's local charts. This week, he continued his momentum with Enola Holmes 3.

In the Grey is a project where Cavill reunites with director Guy Ritchie. They had previously collaborated on films like The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. However, those films did not achieve the expected success. In the Grey disappointed significantly, grossing only $17 million against a budget of $70 million worldwide. The film, which also features stars like Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza González, received mixed reviews and holds a score of 48% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Cavill's performance in Enola Holmes 3 was received more positively. Starring Millie Bobby Brown, this film climbed to the top of Netflix's viewer charts. Directed by Philip Barantini, while it may not have received as much praise as the previous two films, it stands out with a score of 72% on Rotten Tomatoes. Additionally, Cavill's first film as Superman, Man of Steel, has also seen a resurgence on iTunes charts recently. This may have drawn the attention of viewers who were disappointed in theaters.

Cavill's success in the streaming world could open a new chapter in his career. As fans continue to follow his projects, they eagerly await Cavill's future endeavors. Stay tuned for more updates from Collider.
