New name for 'Güneşin Doğduğu Yer': Sahra Kübra Gümüş joins the cast as "Ahsen"
A new name has been added to the cast of the Güneşin Doğduğu Yer series, which is being prepared for the new season. In the TimsBi production, Sahra Kübra Gümüş will appear before the audience as Ahsen, one of the characters surrounding the Kozan family in the story.
Burak Özçivit will portray Kenan Kozan, while Sibel Taşçıoğlu will play the strong figure of the family, Celadet. The story will begin in Germany and extend to Çukurova. The filming of the production will take place in Adana.
Ahsen, one of Celadet's closest associates
The character Ahsen, played by Sahra Kübra Gümüş, will not just be one of the supporting characters around the Kozan family.
Ahsen will be present as Celadet's apprentice while also connecting to another aspect of the story as Medet's wife. The character of Medet will be portrayed by Kenan Ciniviz. It has previously been announced that Medet will work as the right-hand man of the Kozan family.
These connections place Ahsen directly at the center of Celadet and the Kozan family's daily life. The closeness she shares with Celadet, as well as her marriage to Medet, suggests that she will be one of the characters who can follow the reflections of the developments within the family throughout the series.
Kenan's love story starting in Germany will change the dynamics
One of the major turning points in the main story of the series will begin when Celadet sends his son Kenan to Germany.
Burak Özçivit will bring to life Kenan, who will meet and fall in love with Leyla in Germany. However, with Kenan's return, this relationship will become more than just a love story between two people; it will stand against the existing family order in Çukurova.
This is because Celadet has another plan for his son's future. Celadet sees Hanzade, who grew up in a strong family, as a suitable match for Kenan. The character of Hanzade will be played by Hilal Anay. Thus, the conflict between Kenan's love for Leyla and the life his family expects from him will form one of the fundamental tensions of the series.
The character of Leyla has been confirmed to be played by Beyza Gümülcine. In earlier project news, the character was referred to as "Tina," but current actor and character records list her as Leyla.
Two families in Çukurova, love and power struggle
The story of Güneşin Doğduğu Yer will not only revolve around the relationship between Kenan and Leyla. The love story that moves from Germany to Çukurova will also involve a power struggle between two prominent families, secrets from the past, and revenge plots.
Alongside Burak Özçivit and Sibel Taşçıoğlu, the announced cast includes names such as Görkem Sevindik, Devrim Yakut, Beyza Gümülcine, Hilal Anay, Bahar Süer, Nazlıcan Demir, İlker Yavuz, and Kenan Ciniviz.
Experienced team behind the camera
The series, prepared for ATV by TimsBi Productions, is directed by Çağrı Vila Lostuvalı and Çiğdem Bozali. The script is penned by Yıldız Tunç. The filming of the production will take place in Adana, where a significant portion of the story will unfold.
Sahra Kübra Gümüş previously appeared on screen as Vildan in Tutunamayanlar and as Atoş in Şeref Sözü. Güneşin Doğduğu Yer will be the actress's new project on television.
