As the release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 approaches, excitement is at an all-time high. Fans of the series have been waiting for this game for over a decade, and the only two trailers released in the past two years have only fueled speculation further. Now, with pre-orders for GTA 6 starting, it's the perfect time to join this wave of excitement.

GTA 6 will be released on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Rockstar officials have repeatedly emphasized that this date is final and will not change despite fears of delays. However, there is currently no official release date for the PC version of GTA 6 or the rumored Nintendo Switch 2 port.

November 19 was established last year as the official release date for GTA. Initially planned for release by the end of 2025, the game has been delayed twice; first to May 2026 and then finally to this November. So far, two trailers have been released for GTA 6. The first trailer suddenly appeared on YouTube on December 4, 2023, confirming the series' return to the Miami-inspired Vice City.

The first trailer introduces players to the main characters, Lucia and Jason, while also focusing on the colorful cast of side characters in Vice City. The second trailer was released on May 6, 2025, showcasing more action-packed scenes featuring Lucia and Jason. This trailer also confirmed the game's May 2026 release date. As of now, these are all the trailers we have; we have yet to see any actual gameplay footage of GTA 6.
