MGM+’s standout series Godfather of Harlem will conclude with a two-hour final episode. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this finale is likely to be split into two parts and aired over several weeks. The series will bid farewell to viewers with Bumpy Johnson's (Forest Whitaker) ultimate confrontation during a time when the walls surrounding his empire are closing in.
In the final episode, Bumpy Johnson is expected to face his political, criminal, and personal enemies. The series synopsis states, “Bumpy will have to use every alliance, every sacrifice, and every hard-earned lesson from the five seasons to protect what he has built and the people he loves.” This situation further deepens the character's complex relationships and internal conflicts.
Godfather of Harlem also features talents like Ilfenesh Hadera, Antoinette Crowe-Legacy, Erik LaRay Harvey, and Rome Flynn. The series is produced by 20th Television and is supported by executive producers Chris Brancato, Michael Panes, Whitaker, Nina Yang Bongiovi, James Acheson, and Markuann Smith. Additionally, Swizz Beatz contributes as a music producer for the project.
