Shocking Clues Revealed in From Season 4 Episode 5
Collider
The fourth season of From officially reaches its midpoint this week, and the MGM+ horror series has started to provide significant clues regarding its biggest unanswered questions. Viewers are beginning to see some threats clearly emerge as they learn that the seemingly innocent Sophia is actually disguised as the Man in the Yellow Suit (Douglas E. Hughes). Meanwhile, Julie (Hannah Cheramy) begins to test the limits of her "storywalking" abilities. In the fifth episode titled "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been," Jade (David Alpay) hopes that taking mushrooms will help him find a way out of his visions or at least get more answers. Fortunately, Boyd (Harold Perrineau) is by his side.
Before the premiere of Episode 5, Collider had the opportunity to discuss the most critical moments of this week with Alpay regarding Jade. Alpay shared his feelings while shooting the most emotional episode for his character, the practical tricks used to bring Jade's most striking experience to life, and what Jade's monologue about his grandmother reveals about the character.
David Alpay noted that he usually receives scripts in pairs and that the shoots are done completely out of order. This makes it easy to forget that each episode is part of a whole. He mentioned that mushrooms start to be discussed in the third episode, and after Jade takes the mushrooms in the fourth episode, viewers will have to wait throughout the entire episode. Alpay expressed his hope that this experience would be conveyed to the audience in a realistic and solid manner.
