Fox's Baywatch reboot cast will continue to stay in Venice Beach. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass confirmed on Friday in a statement on the X platform that the series production will proceed as planned. While there had been reports of filming issues in Venice Beach, Bass's intervention has cleared the obstacles related to the city.

Bass stated, "I am pleased that Baywatch will continue filming here in Venice Beach. When I learned of the issues regarding Baywatch filming in Los Angeles, my office took action to remove all city-related obstacles, including parking convenience and affordable pricing, in collaboration with Councilmember Park." The Mayor emphasized that this was a team effort, thanking the cooperation between her office, Park's office, County Management, the Coastal Commission, Fremantle, and Fox.

The series will continue filming at iconic beaches in Los Angeles, including the Lifeguard Center in Venice Beach, as well as Fox studios in Marina del Rey, Redondo Beach, and Century City. The production received a $21 million tax incentive to film in Los Angeles. In her social media post, Bass stated, "The city of Los Angeles will always work to make filming in the entertainment capital of the world easier and more affordable by removing bureaucratic obstacles."

The new Baywatch is a reimagining of the classic lifeguard drama that began in 1989 and made stars of David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. The reboot is set to premiere in the 2026-27 season, with Stephen Amell starring in the lead role. The cast also includes Shay Mitchell, Noah Beck, Livvy Dunne, Brooks Nader, and Thaddeus LaGrone. It is possible to see all the cast members, including one returning from the original cast.

Matt Nix serves as showrunner and executive producer, while McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz also serve as executive producers. McG will also direct the first episode.
