Electric Entertainment Acquires Distribution Rights for 'O Horizon' Starring Maria Bakalova and David Strathairn

Electric Entertainment has purchased the worldwide distribution rights for the film "O Horizon," starring Maria Bakalova and David Strathairn. The distribution company will kick off its international sales at the upcoming Cannes Market. The film is set to be released in the U.S. on June 12 by Variance.
Written and directed by Madeleine Rotzler, "O Horizon" follows the challenges faced by Bakalova's character, a young neuroscientist, after losing her father (Strathairn) as she embarks on a new romantic relationship and groundbreaking career exploration. The story takes a turn when she manages to communicate with her father through new technology, completely changing her life. The cast also includes Adam Pally (Iron Man 3), Maggie Grace (Taken), Avi Nash (The Walking Dead), and Paulina Porizkova (Thursday).
Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment, described "O Horizon" as "incredibly relatable and a film that balances dramatic power with the perfect amount of comedic relief." Devlin stated that audiences will appreciate the film and the message it conveys about moving forward in life.
The negotiations for the deal were conducted by Ben Kim, Head of Human Resources and Acquisitions at Electric Entertainment, along with Addie Booth, Acquisitions Manager. Executive and producer Robert Benun and Mark Gill also represented the other side of the agreement.
