Dolphia Blocker, the wife of the famous "Bonanza" star Dan Blocker, passed away at the age of 93 on April 19 due to a stroke she suffered at a hospital in Santa Barbara. This sad news was confirmed by her son David Blocker, a producer, to The Hollywood Reporter. Dolphia spent a significant part of her life with Dan and supported his career.

Dolphia and Dan met at Sul Ross State Teacher College in Texas. The couple married in 1952 after Dan served in the Korean War. Before moving to Hollywood, Dan worked as an elementary school teacher in New Mexico. In 1956 or 1957, they moved to Los Angeles with Dolphia and their three children. As the family began a new life in Hollywood, their children Danna, Debbie, and David took karate lessons from Chuck Norris.

Dan Blocker was known for his role as Hoss Cartwright in the series "Bonanza." He appeared in over 400 episodes from 1959 to 1972. Blocker, who passed away at the age of 43 in 1972, was one of the show's most beloved characters. After his death, "Bonanza" continued with just 15 more episodes. Dolphia's life was intertwined with Dan's career, and his loss was a significant blow not only to his family but also to his fans.

Dolphia Lee Parker was born on July 29, 1932, in Shattuck, Oklahoma. Her childhood spent in Texas with her family taught her the beauty of rural life. Dolphia's life was shaped by her deep bond with Dan Blocker and the family they built together.
