Diego Luna and Famous Names Lend Their Voices to 'In Other Worlds' Experience
The Hollywood Reporter
A new star-studded experience held at the Barbican Centre in London invites participants to explore "futures imagined for our planet, based on real technology and climate-based possibilities." Diego Luna's voice transports listeners away from daily life in the prologue of the interactive exhibition titled 'In Other Worlds,' created by designer, director, and producer Liam Young. Additionally, at the end of the exhibition, Luna's voice brings participants back to their everyday lives.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors explore six different worlds, offering a variety of experiences such as narrated stories, film screenings on LED walls, woven artworks, costumes, installations, soundscapes, and large-scale projections. The exhibition also features set designs, film miniatures, and speculative works. Voices of renowned figures like Jeffrey Wright, Maxine Peake, Adam Young, and Denise Gough accompany listeners in this experience.
Among the writers behind this experience are names like Lisa Joy, Kim Stanley Robinson, Chen Qiufan, Jane Wu, and AI expert Kate Crawford. Costume design is handled by Ane Crabtree. This project provides an in-depth look at works situated at the intersection of design, editing, and the future, reflecting on the consequences and opportunities of the decisions we make today.
