Cillian Murphy is returning for the third film in the A Quiet Place series. Director John Krasinski confirmed the official start of production with a set photo shared on his social media account on Sunday. The film is scheduled to be released on July 30, 2027. Murphy won his first Oscar for his outstanding performance in Oppenheimer and has also signed on for the Netflix production Steve in 2025.

The cast of A Quiet Place Part III will feature familiar faces from the series, including Emily Blunt and Jason Clarke. Although director Krasinski will not be acting in this installment, the production has assembled a strong cast. Jack O'Connell, star of recent successful productions Sinners and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, has also agreed to join the film.

Murphy had a busy year in 2026. He bid farewell to the series by portraying Tommy Shelby in the Peaky Blinders spin-off film The Immortal Man, while also making a return to the role of Jim in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Despite its box office failure, this latest film was considered the highest-rated horror film of the year.

As detailed information about A Quiet Place Part III remains under wraps for now, the direction of the story continues to be a topic of curiosity. It is uncertain how Krasinski's popular franchise will advance the theme of sensory horror in this new installment. The director and production team seem to be accelerating their efforts to present the film to audiences in the summer of 2027.
