Despite a slow start in its first week, the Cannes Film Market picked up momentum with significant deals in its final days. Netflix acquired the worldwide rights to the animated film "In Waves," which premiered at the Cannes Critics' Week. This brought energy to Marché, which had previously been characterized by a cautious atmosphere.

"In Waves" is a hand-drawn French animated film by Franco-Vietnamese director Phuong Mai Nguyen. Adapted from AJ Dungo's graphic novel, this love story is set in Los Angeles and revolves around the relationship between a shy skateboarder named AJ and a surfer named Kristen. The English dub features the voices of Will Sharpe and Stephanie Hsu. The film's sales are being handled by Charades.

Another significant development involves Park Chan-wook's new project titled "The Brigands of Rattlecreek." Warner Bros.' newly established Clockworks label has entered into exclusive negotiations for this revenge-themed Western film. The film, which features stars like Matthew McConaughey, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal, and Tang Wei, has been a passion project that Park has been working on for a long time.

If Clockworks succeeds in acquiring Park's project, it will mark an important beginning for its new chapter. Warner Bros.'s new venture is striving to carve out a solid place for itself in the film industry.
