Adolescence and The Celebrity Traitors Win Two Awards Each at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards

Netflix's Adolescence and The Celebrity Traitors emerged as the biggest winners at the 2026 BAFTA Television Craft Awards. Both productions were honored with two prestigious awards each during the ceremony held in London. The success of Adolescence was particularly noteworthy; the production received a total of 11 nominations in the TV and TV Craft categories, achieving the highest number of nominations.

At the awards ceremony, Will Smith received the Best Drama Writer award for Slow Horses. Philip Barantini won the award in the editing category for his directing work on Adolescence. Other major winners of the event included Andor, Amadeus, Reunion, Trespasses, The Last Musician of Auschwitz, and Mussolini: Son of the Century. Disney+'s successful production A Thousand Blows secured the second position with seven nominations.

The BAFTA TV Craft Awards celebrated the best behind-the-scenes TV talents of 2024. The event was hosted by comedian Maisie Adam and took place at The Brewery, a converted 18th-century beer factory in London. The awards ceremony comprehensively evaluated the most significant technical categories in the film and television industry.

In the sound design category, Adolescence achieved significant success with sound technicians James Drake, Jules Woods, Rob Entwistle, and others involved in the production. The success of Andor stood out in the special, visual, and graphic effects category. In the costume design field, the costumes designed by Maja Meschede for A Thousand Blows were awarded.

Next month, more UK television awards will be presented. The BAFTA TV Awards will take place on May 10 at the Royal Festival Hall in London, hosted by Taskmaster's Greg Davies. This awards ceremony will celebrate the most prestigious productions and artists in the television industry and highlight the best acting performances of the year.
