Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Divides Fans

The trailer released for Marvel's new film "Avengers: Doomsday" has sparked a major debate among fans. Many viewers noted that this teaser has a complex and chaotic structure compared to the trailers of previous Avengers films. The moments in the trailer where characters seem to be intertwined and appear like lost holograms in circular rooms caught attention. One viewer commented, "Every room is circular! What’s happening?!" This situation heightened concerns among viewers about the trailer's quality.

Production designer Gavin Bocque, who stated that 80% of the film sets were practically built, pointed out another factor that contributed to the trailer's negative reception: an interview given by Alan Cumming. Cumming expressed that in the film where he reprises his role as Nightcrawler from "X-Men," a lot of green screen was used, and even the characters' names in the scenes were fake. This raised questions about the film's quality.

Marvel's trailer is also considered poorly timed as it was released following Christopher Nolan's film "The Odyssey." The practical effects and real location shoots in Nolan's film are seen as more impressive compared to Marvel's Doomsday trailer. Additionally, after a decade of building the MCU narrative, Doomsday appearing as just a pile of characters did not meet fans' expectations.

On the other hand, despite these negative critiques, "Doomsday" reached $16.5 million in pre-sales within the first 24 hours. This gives hope that the film will be successful at the box office. Meanwhile, projects like DC's "Clayface" and Universal's "Other Mommy" received positive reactions from audiences this week. This indicates that alongside the challenges Marvel is facing, other studios are also standing out with noteworthy projects.
