Adam Scott bravely announced that he auditioned for Hellraiser: Hellseeker despite his character being killed off in the franchise. The Severance star recently appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers and shared how he auditioned for Hellraiser 6, which was filmed in 2002, even though he played the character Jacques, who was killed in the 1996 film Hellraiser: Bloodline. Jacques was a servant who helped the master goddess summon the demon.

Recalling how his agency sent him an audition for Hellraiser 6, Scott noted that he thought, "Wait a minute... I was in Hellraiser 4." However, due to his need for work, he decided to go to the audition, thinking, "Forget about it," and hoped that the producers wouldn't realize he had appeared in Hellraiser 4.

The actor's efforts to land the role were quite amusing. When Scott recognized one of the producers from Bloodline in the waiting room, he raised his papers in front of his face, hoping the producer wouldn't see him. He explained, "If they didn't see me and I gave a good performance, maybe I could have been in Hellraiser 6 too."

Unfortunately, Scott's efforts did not pay off, and he did not get a role in Hellraiser 6. Nevertheless, he expressed appreciation for the opportunity to be part of a popular horror series early in his acting career. He told Meyers, "I didn't know anything about Hellraiser, but I thought, 'Is this an acting job?' and I was really excited."

The Hellraiser series, based on Clive Barker's 1986 novella The Hellbound Heart, consists of a total of 11 films. The latest installment was released in 2022.
