The world loves a heartfelt sports story, and one of the most beloved in this genre is Ted Lasso. Apple TV's flagship series once saved the platform and turned it into a major player. The cheerful coach Ted, played by Jason Sudeikis, is preparing to return this year. The fourth season will kick off on August 5, 2026, where Ted and Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) will manage a new women's division at AFC Richmond. Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) will fight to lead the men's team to victory, and this season looks set to be one of the most popular of 2026.

Last summer, Hollywood comedy star Adam Sandler returned to the audience with Happy Gilmore 2 after nearly three decades. This sequel achieved the biggest opening weekend among Netflix original films with 46.7 million views in just three days. However, Sandler's sports-themed stories don't stop there; one of his best projects is now available on a new platform.

The film in question is The Longest Yard, considered by many to be one of the greatest football movies of all time. This film, where Sandler shared the lead role with veteran Burt Reynolds, was released in 2005 with a budget of $82 million. It achieved a successful result with a global box office of $191 million. This success is even more impressive considering it competed with Star Wars Ep. III: Revenge of the Sith. You can now watch The Longest Yard on Paramount+.

It's no surprise that Sandler's next project will be a Netflix film, but you might not expect it to be a thriller. Time Out, adapted from a 2001 French film, began shooting in March of this year. Directed by Scott Cooper, the film features names like Willem Dafoe, Gaby Hoffmann, F. Murray Abraham, Steve Zahn, and Adam Horovitz. Sandler's new projects are set to offer viewers different experiences.
