Kardashian-Jenner Family at the 2026 Met Gala: The Style Showdown of Kim, Kylie, Kendall, and Kris
The Hollywood Reporter
Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kris Jenner once again took center stage in the fashion world at the 2026 Met Gala. Kim shared on Vogue's live stream with her close friend La La Anthony that the Kardashian-Jenner clan engages in exciting messaging every year before the Met Gala, from design negotiations to fitting photos. Kim expressed her eagerness to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to gather with her famous sisters and closely observe how the designs transformed from the initial vision.
Kim Kardashian took the stage in a sculptural look inspired by the pioneering work of legendary painter David Hockney in the pop art movement. The piece, designed in collaboration with the creative duo Patrick Whitaker and Keir Malem, references Jones's "Body Armour" created for an unused film in 1978. This same piece was also featured in a photoshoot with Kate Moss in 2013. Kim completed this artwork, painted by hand on a leather skirt under the direction of Creative Director Nadia Lee Cohen, with Christian Louboutin shoes.
Kylie Jenner opted for a custom gown designed by Schiaparelli's creative director Daniel Roseberry. The piece featured a solid corset with a brown-toned sfumato effect, embellished with over 2,000 satin stitch balls, 10,000 natural baroque pearls, and 7,000 painted mother-of-pearl fish scales in a voluminous skirt. According to Schiaparelli, this design required approximately 11,000 hours of work. Kylie collaborated with makeup artist Ariel Tejada, using Kylie Cosmetics products and Cosmic Kylie Jenner Intense Eau de Parfum.
Kendall Jenner collaborated with designer Zac Posen on the red carpet for the first time. Kendall described Posen's design as "very cosmic" and mentioned that she had been thinking of him even before he wrote her a letter. Posen expressed that he aimed to make Kendall look like "a divine goddess" by transforming Gap's signature white t-shirt into a liquid jersey over a specially molded leather corset.
Momager Kris Jenner chose an outfit inspired by Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda collection presented in Rome. Kris noted that she closely follows her daughters' styles each year, receiving fashion advice from them, and that this guidance shapes her own design choices. The family's selections this year once again showcase the diversity of styles and collaborations in the fashion world.
