Sydney Sweeney has become one of Hollywood's shining stars during this period. Although her scene was cut from The Devil Wears Prada 2, her bold scenes in Euphoria are sparking major discussions on social media. Despite working alongside some of the most talked-about nominees like Zendaya, Sweeney has managed to draw everyone in. Additionally, the boxer biopic Christy, despite being labeled a failure by critics, reached number one on HBO Max.

Sweeney's success isn't limited to the screen. Last year, she helped boost sales for American Eagle, and this time she has become the face of the brand's new campaign. While there are detractors on social media, the support from the masses continues to shine a light on Sweeney's stardom.

The Michael Jackson film, however, is under fire from critics. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the biopic holds only a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has been deemed a dull and formulaic effort by many reviewers. The film has remained silent on many issues regarding Jackson's legacy, leading to controversy.

The Jackson family has countered the criticism, claiming that the public will decide for themselves by watching the film. However, the family seems to have taken a different stance when they pressured HBO over legal reasons regarding the Leaving Neverland documentary. The documentary's director stated that viewers of the film “don't care about these things.”

Despite all the criticism, Michael is expected to earn at least $80 million at the box office over the weekend, potentially breaking records for music biopics. The film has received an A CinemaScore from moviegoers. Despite the negative comments from critics and Jackson's controversial past, this fan-fueled film is heading towards great success.
