Vol.i takes place in a distant future. In the film, humanity has left Earth due to extreme pollution and started living on another planet. The task of cleaning the trash-filled world is assigned to a cute robot, Vol.i. The loneliness of Vol.i, who creates a new world from the trash left behind by humans, comes to an end with the arrival of another robot, Eve.
