Vörös Hajnal (Red Dawn), a cooperative, becomes the setting for mischief as a storm threatens the wheat that is about to be harvested. Árendás, a middle peasant, raises serious accusations against the cooperative members: due to negligence, they failed to keep the ditches clean. They always seem to prefer the easy way out, while the need to properly care for the farmland has long been forgotten. The cooperative members and the villagers are deeply divided.
