The story of a legendary encounter at the dawn of the Reformation. Calvin's weeks-long dispute with an "unknown Roman Catholic priest" changed the course of Switzerland's history. The unknown priest was Ignatius of Loyola, who later founded the Jesuit order within the Church and was on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in the area. Both sought to reform the religion of their time—Calvin from the outside, creating a new church, and Ignatius of Loyola from within. They both agreed that the Church of Rome was utterly corrupt, with popes and bishops shamelessly enriching themselves and indulging in lust, selling indulgences, lacking relics of saints, which had brought the Roman Church to an unprecedented low. The two protagonists rise against this, each using their own methods.
