Based on a true story, the film follows an ordinary Korean Gimpo domestic flight that takes a tragic turn when one of the passengers, Yong-dae (Yeo Jin-goo), attempts to hijack the plane with a bomb. The hijacker demands that the plane be taken to North Korea, to the place where his brother lives. The captain (Sung Dong-il) loses his sight in the first explosion, and co-pilot Tae-in takes over the captain's seat, fighting to save both the passengers and flight attendant Ok-soon (Chae Soo-bin).
