As a result of the excessive population growth, Norwegian scientists discover how to reduce people's height by 12 cm as a solution and propose that all humans shrink within 200 years. Realizing how much less money is spent in a miniature world, people wish to shrink in pursuit of a better life. Paul Safranek, a "work and engagement therapist," and his wife Audrey decide to leave their stressful lives in Omaha to shrink for the same reason. However, at the last moment, Audrey changes her mind. Paul will remain shrunk and embark on life-changing adventures in this new miniature world alone.
