In a world where a number on the neck indicates how happy people are, Kristóf (hiding his number with a turtleneck) awaits the mandatory Annual Happiness Measurement. In the examination room, the contrast material is injected into his body, just like every year. But this time, the examiner is shocked to discover that Kristóf is a problematic 21.
