Franziska Giffey is a German politician. She was Governing Mayor from December 21, 2021, to April 27, 2023, and has since been Senator for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises as well as Mayor of Berlin in the Wegner Senate, thus taking over as Deputy Governing Mayor.
