Guillaume Pley and Cyril MP4 spent 24 hours at Auschwitz to understand the lives and the hell endured by two Holocaust survivors: Ginette Kolinka and Esther Sénot. The two survivors joined us in the studio to share their stories—the pain of separation, the dehumanization, the deaths of their loved ones, the atrocious conditions of their captivity, and the difficult adjustment to life after returning from the death camps. We spent two days with the Army and the 1st Chasseur Regiment. They invited us to shadow them during a forest training mission, drive a Leclerc tank, and witness a day of live-fire exercises—including both shell firing at moving targets and machine-gun drills. The Leclerc is the Army’s heaviest vehicle, weighing in at 57 tons, and we put it through its paces over the course of 48 hours.
