This episode saw the conclusion of the lightweight championship, with both semi-finals followed by the title-decider. Chuck Pitzer and Alpha Raptor first fought Fon Davis and Mouser Mecha-Catbot, before Jim Smentowski's lightweight Backlash faced Das Bot. The winners of each fight met in the final, contesting for the first Giant Nut of the season.
