Step back into the original trilogy of Star Wars in an all-new video game experience available today. After all, it's time someone cleaned up the galaxy from all the dirty work the Empire has done, or perhaps you need to wipe out that Rebel scum. Whatever the case, playing as a simple droid in the middle of the chaos, there's a lot of work to do. Today, July 16, a new Star Wars DLC pack is available for PowerWash Simulator 2 as a special, intergalactic collaboration. This iconic expansion is set during the events of the original trilogy of Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Playing as a Class Five cleaning droid named P0-W2, you find yourself in the unique position to take on much more than a simple cleaning assignment. Those familiar with PowerWash Simulator games will already know that while the basic game mechanics involve power washing dirt off of things, the stories here can go deep, and generally in a humorous way. This relaxing little cleaning game regularly pushes its background narratives over the top with unexpected comedy, and this Star Wars crossover is undoubtedly going to follow that trend. Naturally, they can't alter Star Wars canon, but there's plenty of room to get a little messy. Throughout this DLC experience, you travel through many of the biggest locations in the Star Wars universe and get to be up close and personal with it all. From scrubbing the asteroid dirt off an X-wing or dealing with the aftermath of a dust storm on Tatooine, this is one dirty galaxy you need to clean. Although we don't yet know what direction the PowerWash Simulator 2 story is going to take with this Star Wars DLC, and we wouldn't spoil it for you if we did, we do know that our little droid will be clearing the way for the Rebel Alliance. As the game states on its Steam page, "Rebellions are built on hope, and soap." From images revealed so far, it looks like we will be able to clean an X-wing and an AT-AT, using a new washer and surface cleaner specifically made for this DLC. There also appear to be some Easter eggs to find for those who look closely. Another fun feature in PowerWash Simulator 2, which will also function in the Star Wars DLC pack, is the ability to team up with friends for multiplayer cleaning action. Though the game is absolutely wonderful to play solo, having a friend along can certainly keep things more exciting and speedier during the larger levels especially. Unfortunately, this Star Wars pack isn't free and will cost $9.99 in addition to requiring the base game in order to access it. If you want even more to clean, the second chapter of the Caldera Chronicles was also released today, and it is free. It features a fun Bowling Alley to clean similarly to the previous Caldera Chronicles Miniature Village. So there's plenty to do in PowerWash Simulator 2 this summer, no matter which galaxy you find yourself in.
